After an early breakfast, we will travel to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, stopping to observe some of the region’s rarest bird species. We shall have some rest in the resort when we arrive at Zziwa. You’ll venture off for your rhino adventure as the day’s heat fades. Walking to and observing the rhinos will take around two hours. You’ll embark on an evening birding walk following your rhino journey. You will be pleased because the sanctuary has over 300 types of forest, savannah, and wetland species. Dinner will be provided in the lodge’s calm atmosphere.

After that, we’ll travel the picturesque route by Lake Albert until we reach your resort in time for lunch. You can choose between a quick evening birding walk and a guided birding walk throughout the lodge’s grounds.

The lodge is surrounded by a variety of bird species, such as; flycatchers, weavers, sunbirds, kingfishers, kestrels, owls, hornbills, and more, on the banks of the Nile, in woodland that is close to farmland.

Day 4: Watching Birds in the Nile Delta

Soon after sunrise, your scheduled boat will come to pick you up from the resort, and you’ll proceed downstream to the river’s “delta” where you’ll search for shoebills.
