Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania – Airport Pickup & Hotel Transfer

Day 2: Nalemuru Gate (2,364 m) to Simba Camp (2,671 m)- The Adventure Begins – 3-4 hours

After a hearty breakfast, your adventure kicks off as we drive to Rongai Gate. After a scenic journey and a picnic lunch, you’ll meet your trekking team and begin your ascent. Starting at 2,364 meters, you’ll trek through a mix of pine forest and lush vegetation before reaching the open heathlands. By the end of the day, you’ll arrive at Simba Camp, ready to relax under the stars.

Day 3: Simba Camp (2,671 m) to Kikelelwa Camp (3,600 m) – Into the Wilderness – 6.5-7 hours

Wake up to breathtaking views as you prepare for a full day of trekking. Today’s route takes you deeper into the wild, covering 16 km with an elevation gain of 929 meters. As you climb, the landscape transforms, offering stunning views back towards Kenya. Though the day is challenging, reaching Kikelelwa Camp is immensely rewarding.

Day 4: Kikelelwa Camp (3,600 m) to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,315 m) – Climbing High – 3.5-4 hours

The route is just 3 km, but with a significant elevation gain, you’ll leave the vegetation behind, revealing panoramic views that make every step worthwhile. Arrive early at camp, allowing time for acclimatization amidst the stunning scenery.
