Flights with Layovers

Flights between Mahé and Praslin are facilitated not only by ferry services but also by a domestic flight route. This route is serviced by Air Seychelles, with a brief flight duration of 15-20 minutes, and multiple departures throughout the day. The pricing for these flights varies based on the fare type chosen, such as fixed or flexible timings. The aircraft used for this journey is a small twin-engine turboprop plane, which can carry up to 19 passengers and provide stunning views of the ocean.

Passengers departing from Mahé must proceed to the domestic terminal of the airport, conveniently located a short walk from the international terminal. Those departing from Praslin will need to head to the island’s modest airport situated near Grand Anse.

For a more private and expedited transfer, helicopter services are available to traverse the Seychelles archipelago from Mahé. Zil Air’s official website offers comprehensive details regarding the destinations served and the corresponding rates. Opting for a helicopter transfer can greatly reduce travel time to islands that are less accessible by conventional means, albeit at a higher cost compared to standard transfer options.

Navigating the Seychelles
