We shall drive out of the crate and proceed to Lake Manyara with a stop for a picnic lunch on the floor of the crater, depending on the desired location, especially at the hippo pool. After that, we shall depart for Lake Manyara National Park.
This afternoon we will have a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where you could be able to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and baboons, among others. Along the shores of the lake, you will spot many animals, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, banded mongooses, and gazelles. Day 6: Old Town & Spice Plantations
The day begins with breakfast and a serene view over the Indian Ocean to the endless horizon. An optional walking tour is the best way to experience the town, which exists today much as it did in the days when the “Isle of Spices” was a great trading centre known the world over for spices, timber, and slaves. The marketplace is alive with vendors who hawk their exotic wares in a multitude of languages, as well as the intense palette of colours in their fabrics and trinkets for sale. As we move away from the raucous market, the winding streets grow serene and mysterious, with whitewashed houses, ornately carved wooden doors, and balconies studded with brass. We visit the Zanzibar Museum and the Old Fort.
- Accommodation: Luxury, Mid-range
- Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 7: Jozani Forest tour
There are few places in the world where the red Colobus monkey can be found, and this morning we travel across the island through quaint villages and lush vegetation to just such a place—the enchanting Jozani Forest. These Old-World monkeys leap acrobatically throughout the arboreal canopy in troops of up to one hundred.
- Accommodation: Luxury, Mid-range
- Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 8: Depart Zanzibar – Onward
Today brings a farewell to the island. Breakfast at the hotel check-out and a day at leisure according to your arrangements. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward international flight back home with sweet Tanzania memories.
